Landscaping price list 2026
Unit prices for the things a landscaping job is actually made of — mulch by the cubic yard, sod by the square foot, edging by the linear foot, a crew by the day. Not project totals: the numbers you put in a price book and multiply.
Every row names the source it came from and when that source was published. Rows we could not source are not in the table. A short list of real numbers beats a long list of plausible ones, especially if you are about to quote off it.

These are not your prices. They are what published sources say things cost.
What you charge has to cover your own suppliers, your crew, your drive time and your overhead,
and carry a margin on top of all of it. Start from these, then replace them with what you
actually pay — that is the whole point of keeping a price book.
Published price is what the source says, unchanged: a range where the source gives a range, one figure where it gives one. Starting point is the single number to put in a price book — the source's own typical figure where there is one, otherwise the middle of its range. That middle is our arithmetic, not the source's, which is why both columns are here.

Are these the prices I should charge?
No. These are what published sources say things cost. What you charge has to cover your own suppliers, your crew, your drive time and your overhead, and then carry a margin on top. Use the starting-point column as a starting point and replace it with your own numbers as you learn them.
What is material-only and what is installed?
Material-only is what a yard charges you for the stuff. Installed adds the labour and equipment to put it in the ground, and often the delivery too. Rows say which they are, because quoting an installed job off a material price is how a job gets sold at cost.
Why do the ranges vary so much?
Because labour and delivery do. The material itself is often the smaller half of an installed price, and a crew hour in a major metro can be double one two hours out of town. Where a row is unusually sensitive to region, the notes say so.
Where do these numbers come from?
Every row names its source and the date that source was published — supplier price lists, trade cost data and contractor guides. Rows we could not source are simply not in the table. A shorter list of real numbers is worth more than a long list of invented ones.
What is the difference between material and installed?

How often is this updated?
It is revised as the underlying sources publish new figures. The date at the top of the page is when the list was last revised.
